I I wear Sebago Docksides for more than 30 years.
I bought these shoes during pre-sales and they really look lovely and are very well made. No discussion about that!
There’s only one problem, which is the fitting. They are tighter above the toes, feel narrower at the front and the leather is much stiffer than the regular Docksides Portland’s. In comparison you actually can see that the material at the front side is cut lower.
This implicates that you have to break them in. Problem is that after a few miles they really hurt at your heel and even cause an injury.
The very kind support apparently do not have the Made in USA shoes in their hands to understand what I am trying to explain. They only refer to the description but that is not a solution.
These potential 5-star rating shoes really deserve some break-in instructions as you would expect with expensive shoes.
After breaking in mine are fine now but still feel a tad tight.
Classica scarpa da barca. Forse la pelle può risultare un pò dura all'inizio. Ottima fattura.
