The now iconic white T-shirt was born in 1913 when the U.S. Navy issued crewnecks for soldiers to wear under their official uniforms. After the war, this humble garment found its way into the wider world thanks to simplicity, affordability, functionality, and countless unforgettable cinema and music cameos.
