Born in 1970, the Docksides Portland is the traditional boat shoe – built with a classic tubular construction – that incarnates Sebago’s rich maritime heritage. Part of the Made in USA Capsule Collection, this iteration takes production straight back to the United States of America, reaffirming the artisanal savoir-faire that has long defined the brand’s history. Every pair is crafted at Rancourt & Company, the historic Maine manufacturer, using a traditional American stitching technique with no pre-punching, resulting in a robust yet flexible construction. The premium greased leather used for the upper is sourced from the historic Seidel Tannery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, chosen for its exceptional durability and resistance: full-bodied and treated to withstand prolonged wear and demanding conditions. Refined details reinforce the meaning behind the capsule, from gold foil “Sebago Made in USA” lettering on the insole to exclusive packaging: a natural extension of what the shoes contained inside stand for.

Durable and flexible, smooth leather needs regular cleaning and nourishment to maintain softness and shine.

    Remove dirt and dust with a soft-bristle brush and a slightly damp cloth. Use minimal water to prevent penetration into the leather.

  3. Step 3. Conditioning

    Apply a neutral or colored nourishing cream with a soft brush or cloth using circular motions. This helps feed the leather and maintain elasticity.

  4. Quick Add Quick Add

    Step 4. Polishing & Protection

    After a few minutes, remove excess product with a clean brush or dry cloth in straight strokes. Finish with a light wax or polish to create a protective barrier.
