I love these boots. They are very comfortable and look really good. I also have noticed that they have become more grey over time and have lost some of the black color. I would like to know if there is any way to darken them back up again as well. They start out pretty dark but after wearing them for a couple months they become grey. If anyone has any ideas let me know. Also, the sizes run about a half size bigger than normal. I wear an 11 and ordered an 11 and probably should have got a 10.5. Overall great boot.

Hi there, Just bought a pair of Sebago Lighthouse Black Sil, and once I received it, I found the shoes a bit too much with the grey color. I wanted to have them more dark, with still some distressed color. But since the shoes are waxed, all the product I tried to make them darker didnt fix on the shoes. With a darker black, but not the basic one, the shoes would look really more attractive. I tried with a the best brand such as Saphir product, and the product just slide on to the shoes. Then I tried the Kiwi Leather Scuff Cover ("cover scuffs and restores colour"), and the shoes looks really nice, but still, the black color is not fixed on the shoes, which make the color very superficial and any piece of fabric coton brushed on it, will make it disappear. Regarding the shoe itself, they are very comfortable, thanks God that I ordered a smaller size than I usually do. they fit me now perfectly with a 7.5 size, while my feet is 26.5 cm. And if I had followed the guide size, the shoe would have been bigger. I would be highly happy if any customer can give me some tips to make the shoes darker permanently. I am asking to the customers because the Customer Service never reply to any of my sollicitation, unfortunatly. Overall, Sebago is a good brand. Thanks all, Tom Sawyer :)
